Mr. Conlon is a 1972 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. degree in Geological Engineering. Prior to joining Yuma in 2002, Mr. Conlon was Vice President Exploration for Pluspetrol S.A. in Buenos Aires, Argentina and was responsible for that company’s exploration program in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Tunisia, and Algeria. Significant accomplishments include assisting in developing the bid for the US $1.5 billion TCF Camisea development project in Southern Peru, acquiring the 800 sq. km. 3D, and integrating the 3D interpretation with the reservoir engineering model to develop the field. In Bolivia, Mr. Conlon managed the US $200 million work program of 2D and 3D seismic, and drilling in the remote Bolivian Overthrust belt from which five new fields were discovered. From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Conlon was an Exploration Manager for BHP Petroleum in Melbourne, Australia with area responsibility for Offshore Western Australia. During that time, the group he managed discovered the 175 million barrel Griffin field, the 40 million barrel Stag field, and the key discovery in the 100 million barrel Pyrenees field complex which is currently being developed. In addition, Mr. Conlon worked for BHP Petroleum (Denver, Colorado), Cities Services Oil Company (Midland, Texas), Cabot Oil and Gas Exploration (Houston, Texas), and North Central Oil Corporation (Houston, Texas).
